MOUNT MARULA · THABAZIMBI
Sit quietly.
Let the bush come to you.
Birdwatching, patient observation and those photographs worth waiting for.
The pleasure of waiting.
A hide changes the rhythm of a visit. Settle into a quiet vantage point, watch the light move through the trees and give the animals time to approach on their own terms. Bring binoculars, a camera and a little patience: a bird landing nearby or wildlife pausing at water can become the moment you remember most.
Ask about Bush Peak, Cement Dam, Hide One, Tambuti and Witklip. The lodge will confirm which hides are suitable and available for birding and photography, and arrange safe access. Hide use is coordinated with other farm activities; walking independently through the reserve is not offered.
Keep voices low, avoid flash and playback, and never feed or approach wildlife. Sightings and photographic opportunities vary.
Ask the lodge for current photographs and availability of the individual hides.
Plan your visit.
Enquire before travelling. Your booking is confirmed only when the lodge confirms availability and arrangements.
